This page explains the small amount of storage we use on evertrailtours.jp, why we use it, and how you can manage it. We aim to use as little as possible.

What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device. Some websites also use related storage technologies like localStorage. Most sites use them — they help pages remember things like your consent preference, language, or whether you're logged in.

What we use, in plain terms

Strictly necessary.These keep the site working. We don't need your consent for them under EU law (they're essential to the service you asked for), but we still want to be transparent.

• Consent preference— stored locally in your browser when you accept or dismiss our cookie banner, so we don't show it again on every page.
• Announcement dismissal — when you close the strip at the top of the page, we remember that locally so it stays closed until we publish a new message.
• Admin session — set only for our editorial team when they log into the private admin area at /admin. Public visitors never see this cookie.

Analytics.We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages and tours are getting attention. It's cookieless — no individual visitor is tracked across sessions, no advertising profile is built, and no data is shared with third parties for marketing. The metrics we see are aggregate counts: page views, top referrers, country-level location. That's it.

What we don't use.No advertising cookies. No Facebook pixel, no Google Ads tags, no cross-site trackers. We don't share any data with third parties for marketing or profiling.

Managing what we store

You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time. Doing so may reset your preferences on the site (e.g. the cookie banner will reappear, the announcement strip will show again). Every major browser has instructions for clearing site data — search for “clear cookies” plus your browser's name.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove any storage from the list above, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. We'll never quietly switch on new tracking — material changes are flagged on the site.
